The Kogi State Governor, Captain Idris Wada Saturday absolved his deputy, Mr. Yomi Awoniyi of complicities in the management of funds raised for victims of 2012 flood in the state.
The governor while responding to questions at a Town Hall meeting organised by the National Good Governance Tour (NGGT) team at the end of the three-day tour to the state, said Awoniyi did not directly withdraw from the fund.
According to him, the state government received in totality the sum of N726 million from both the Federal Government and notable individuals, noting that the management of the fund was transparent.
