Reposting an earlier post: There was an article on Thisday today with the headline: "Pastor Oyakhilome Removed as Trustee of Church’s UK Branch". I have posted the below response to them, however, they are taking a long time to post it. I thought this might be a good forum to clear the untruth told in the article.

Thisday disappoints me! You should have tried to verify this information. It's getting more disturbing as we see bundles of lies being published in a desperate bid to discredit Pastor Anita Oyakhilome
on this divorce matter. I am writing as a senior member in Christ Embassy that is based in the UK and have been
privy to many things since the start of this issue. I consider it wrong for me to read stories like these that are full of lies and simply look away! Pastor Chris removed himself as a member of the board of trustees around May 2014! He at the same time appointed both Pastor Uche Onubogu and Pastor Tony

Obi as members of the board (before then, these two Zonal Pastors who are clearly his men were not members of the board). Pastor Anita Oyakhilome has absolutely no hand in this, infact, it is believed
that Pastor Chris removed himself as a member of the board due to the ongoing serious investigation being undertaken by the UK Charity Commission on Christ
Embassy UK. Infact, anyone who has even a little insight into what is happening would laugh
at the suggestion that the current members of the board are Pastor Anita Oyakhilome's loyalists. How can one suggest that Rev Ray Okocha is loyal to Pastor Anita? Rev Ray is Pastor Chris' brother in-law and was appointed as member of the board by Pastor Chris, he is the same man that was sent to take
over Pastor Anita's responsibilities in the UK and he has been used to make
life miserable for Pastor Anita! Coming to the rest of the board members, all of them are loyal to Pastor Chris and are continually being used by him where possible to slate Pastor Anita. An
example of such was few months back when all the members of the board signed an
injunction restraining Pastor Anita from coming near her former church
building! Would her loyalists do that? Besides, prior to the Charity Commission taking over the operations of CE UK, Pastor Anita had been removed from all accounts of the ministry. How then is she trying to hold on to some "power"? The more these lies are perpetuated against this woman the more sensible people
can see that the marriage breakdown is as a result of very serious underlying
issues. If this whole thing is God's work then why fight with carnal weapons that are sure
to fail??? Pastor Anita is yet to make any public speech on this matter, if she
does, there may be nothing left to fight for ...

Thisday (and its "backers"), get your facts right please.
