Okunnu, in a statement to felicitate with Islamic faithful on the Eid-El-Kabir celebration on Monday, said the dialogue should be extended to other unions in the nation’s tertiary institutions.
He said, “I want to appeal strongly to the Federal Government and ASUU to conclude the dialogue they are engaged in quickly to resolve the lingering problem. The strike has caused the nation enough embarrassment and should not continue beyond now. These young men and women are our tomorrow. We should stop playing politics with their lives so that we can have lasting peace in the country.”
