9 Nigerian Students Kinapped In Ukraine

Ukrainian news agencies say militants has abducted 9 Nigerian students on Monday and have been holding them as prisoners at an occupied government security building. The city is deep inside rebel-held territory, close to the Russian border.

Colonel Andriy Lysenko, a spokesman for Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council, on Wednesday told a news conference that negotiations are underway to free the abducted Nigerian students. That people with experience conducting negotiations were now making contact with what
he called "the terrorists." Adding that Ukrainian officials hoped the talks would end "successfully in the near future."

“The problems of Nigeria are “Nigerians”! We don’t have any other problem other than that, You realise that, whenever we point an accusing finger at the government, it points back at the masses. We have a common enemy, which is the government.
But we fail to realise that we are part of the government. Even if we are not at the reign of power at the moment, one day we will get there. Even the present individuals in government had pointed accusing fingers at one point in their lives.

That’s how the trend continues. The people themselves need to re-evaluate what they stand for, individually. It’s easy to say little drops of water make a mighty ocean, but if every unit takes proper charge and make significant effort towards the betterment of the country, then we will move from this point.

4 Kidnappers Shot Dead In Enugu

The Enugu State Police Command, has arrested four notorious armed robbery and kidnap suspects who have been terrorizing residents of the Coal city and environs.

the Suspects, Ifeanyichukwu Ngene alias German Poison, Chukwuebuka Agbo alias Offor, Tochukwu Aninwewo alias Makojo and Monday Ogbodo alias Montiga were apprehended on 9th July following their alleged involvement in the kidnap of one Afamefuna Ugwu at Ugwuaji axis of Enugu.

NDLEA arrest Unemployed graduate, recovers 2.185kg drugs

An Unemployed graduate of Business Administration and indigene of Enugu state was arrested by officials of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency [ NDLEA] at the Murtala Muhammed

The suspect was arrested as he attempted to board an Ethiopian Airlines flight en route to Malaysia.

After he was arrested, Victor Ifeanacho who resides in the Badagry area of Lagos, said years of unemployment made him to go into the illegal business of drug trafficking. He said he was promised $3,500 if he was able to smuggle the substance to Malaysia successfully, where he would have been executed if caught

“I am a graduate of Business Administration. I have been jobless since I graduated in 2008. After several years of joblessness, I became a commercial bus driver in Lagos. I am single and live in Badagry. A man I met at a hotel promised to assist me in getting a job in Malaysia. I was happy to travel out of the country. Out of frustration, I agreed to smuggle the drugs, which eventually led to my arrest. They promised to pay me $3,500, but I regret everything now because I feel empty inside.” he said

Politicians buy human parts from me, says suspect

The Kwara state Police command yesterday has paraded two men who were  involved  in tradin human parts.
The men whose names were given as Amos Kareem and Abubakar Ladan were arrested with human head, leg and hand in Tabira village, Okuta in Baruten LGA of the state, according to a report by Vanguard.
When interviewed, one of the suspects, Abubakar Ladan said Amos Kareem promised to give him amotorcycle if he could find him human head, hand and leg. His desire to own a motorcycle made him go to a cemetery where he exhumed bodies and cut off their heads, hands and legs (pictured above).

When asked what he wanted to do with the human parts, Amos Kareem said he sold them to politicians. He however refused to disclose the identities of the politicians.

Couple Arrested in Lagos for Duping Victims of N20 Million in Fake Auction Sales

Punch has reports that a Nigerian couple Danladi Wushishi and Ojuolape Wushishiwere arrested by the Lagos State Police Command for allegedly duping people of more than N20 million in fake auction sales in Lagos.

Ojuolape was arrested on Wednesday 18th June 2014, while Danladi was later arrested at Allen Avenue on Friday 25th June 2014.

The pair were apprehended after one of the victims Chinyere Uzorchukwu sent a petition to the Commissioner of Police Umar Manko. She was allegedly duped by the couple of N5million.

According to reports, the Wushishis collected money from unsuspecting victims under the false pretext that they had a container of goods meant for customs auction sales at a terminal in Lagos.

Danladi and Ojuolape also took victims to a fake customs warehouse in Ikorodu, Lagos, and showed them containers which were sealed. After making the huge payments, the victims waited for their goods which were never delivered.

Jihadists Stone Woman to Death For Comminting Adultery

A woman that was accused of committing adultery in the northern Syrian province of Raqa has been stoned to death by Jihadists.

According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, this will be the first “execution” of its kind by the Islamic State  group in Syria, which has proclaimed the establishment of an Islamic "caliphate" dominating Syria and Iraq.

The observatory said, "The Islamic State carried out its first sentence of death by stoning against a woman in Tabaqa, accusing her of adultery,"
The report was confirmed by an activist Abu Ibrahhim, who said the stoning took place in a public square in the Tabaqa market area on Thursday evening.

"This is the first time that this has happened here," added Abu Ibrahim.

Why I Hacked My Father To Death- 21 Year Old Redeemers University Student

 A 21-year-old undergraduate Tolani Ajayi, who killed his father, has declared his readiness to face the consequences of his action.
Speaking to journalists on Tuesday at the Eleweran Police Headquarters, Abeokuta, Tolani stated that he hacked his father, a lawyer and Senior Advocate of Nigeria to death, because he angered him.
Tolani said his father provoked him by beating him with a stick; and that he needed no help from Nigerians.
“There is no way Nigerians can help me. I am going to face my judgement. I am meant to pay for what I have done,” he said. “It is not as if I am ready, it is something that is inevitable – something that is going to happen; I am just waiting for it.”
Investigations reveal that Tolani, a 300-level student of Department of History and International Relations of Redeemer University, Ogun State, was into drugs. He was said to have been caught twice by the authorities of the University.
It was also gathered that the school had set up a panel to question him on alleged drug offence before he committed the murder.

Breaking News: FIFA Suspends Nigeria Super Eagle

The world football governing body, FIFA, has suspended the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, with immediate effect.

There was war early this morning at Palmgroove and Onipanu bus stops on the popular Ikorodu road, Lagos, as some military men blocked the two sides of the road, smashing the mirrors and windscreens of the state owned Bus Rapid Transit buses in protest of the killing of a fellow military man by a “hit and run” Bus Rapid Transit driver. Eyewitness account revealed to that the late military man was being trailed by the officials of Lagos State Transport Management Authority (LASTMA) for plying on the BRT lane. He was allegedly dragged off from his motorbike, hence the fight and was subsequently killed by a moving BRT bus.

Notice: FAAN To Close Abuja Airport Runway For Three Days

The Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria announced that the runway of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja will be closed for three days beginning from Saturday.
