Nigeria Girls Cry For Help Over Forced Into Prostitution Cote d' Ivoir

Seven Nigerian girls who got  stranded in Abidjan have called on the Nigerian governmen and embassy in Cote d ‘Ivoire to assist them in returning their families. Three of the girls whose name was Dele, Rose and Cynthia said they were brought to the country by three persons. They claimed that they were provided accommodation in a brothel in Sikensi, on the outskirts of Abidjan, and made to serve as sex workers.

Narrating their story, one of them, Blessing Elohor, 18, from Edo State, said they were rescued by leaders of the Nigerian community in Cote d’Ivoire. “I was showed a picture of a `white man’ who, they said, owns a shop in Abidjan. They said I would serve as a waiter in his shop,” she said. “I was surprised when they showed me a room and gave me condoms. They refused us making calls or even having discussions with people.’’ Tracy Ekuagbe, 17, said she was told that she was being taken to Germany, and was promised a paid job on arrival.

Emir of Gwoza, Alhaji Idrissa Timta Is Dead While Trying to Escape From Boko Haram

Following the reports earlier today that two prominent Borno State Emirs, the Emir of Gwoza, Alhaji Idrissa Timta and Emir of Uba Alhaji Ali Ibn Ismaila Mamza were kidnapped by Boko Haram men while on their way to Gombe to attend the burial of Emir of Gombe, Shehu Abubakar.

According to Daily Trust, one of the Emirs, Alhaji Idrissa Timta is reported dead. Security sources said he died of heart attack while fleeing into the bush after gunmen attacked their vehicle and fired several shots which forced it to stop.
“Already, arrangement is being made to bring his corpse to Gwoza from Shafa. His corpse was found in the bush,” a source said.
The Emir of Uba, Alhaji Idrissa Timta, who is younger, escaped while many of the people in their entourage have been reportedly abducted by the attackers.
It was gathered that most of the vehicles in the convoy have been set ablaze.

4 yrs Old Child , Left His Father Stranded At Another Country After He Scribbled All Over His Passport

A four year old  China child , has left his father stranded at another country after he scribbled all over the passport when the two were on a trip to South Korea.
The child used the passport as a sketch book and shaded around his father’s eyes, and drew him whiskers and a beard.
He also did some other drawings on the passport. The father posted a photo of the passport to a social networking site earlier this week.

Breaking News: First Class Emirs Of Gwoza, UBA Kidnapped In Borno

Boko Haram leader, Abubakar Shekau had said that he would abduct more people in his recent video.
Two first Class monarchs in Borno State, including the Emir of Gwoza Alhaji Idrissa Timta and the Emir of Uba, Alhaji Ali Ibn Ismaila Mamza have been kidnapped by gunmen today.
They were on their way to Gombe State for the funeral prayers of the Emir of Gombe Alhaji Usman Shehu Abubakar.
A top security source in Borno State confirmed the development but asked not to be named, pointing out that he was not the right person to make formal announcement on the issue.
Sources close to the two palaces said the monarchs were forcefully whisked away by heavily armed men who intercepted their convoy in Zur village near Shafa in Hawul local government of Borno State.
Another first class monarch, the emir of Askira, Alhaji Abdullahi Ibn Muhammadu Askirama reportedly escaped being kidnapped. He was said to be in Abuja while his representative barely passed the scene of the kidnap when the emir of Gwoza and that of Uba were intercepted.

Gunmen Abduct Bayelsa Speaker’s Mother-in-law

Gunmen has kidnapped Madam Ogboro Dark, the mother-in-law of the Speaker of Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Hon. Kombowei Benson,
Dark, fondly called Obololo, was reportedly abducted by unknown gunmen operating along the waterways of Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of the state.
She was abducted in her hometown, Korokorosei Community of Southern Ijaw, at about 2.00 am on Friday. The News Agency of Nigeria learnt that the armed men entered the community through the waterside in three speed boats.
A community source, who witnessed the incident, said: “the gunmen came at about 2.00 am.
They shot sporadically before making their way to the woman’s home; we were all afraid because of the gunshots.

Mosque In Bangui, 'Central African Republic' Destroyed Following Church Attack

A group of Christian youths in the Central African Republic have sacked a mosque and barricaded streets with burning tyres in the capital, Bangui.
It comes a day after Seleka militias attacked a church in Bangui with guns and grenades, killing several people.
The mostly Muslim Seleka rebels have been involved in heavy fighting with mainly Christian fighters in the anti-balaka militia since March 2013.
About a quarter of the CAR's population has been displaced by the conflict.
There have been no reports of casualties following the attack on the mosque in Bangui's Lakouanga neighbourhood. One report said that the mosque was empty at the time of the attack.
A spokesman for Bangui's Muslim community, Ousmane Abakar, told AP news agency: "For six months we have been the ones subjected to violence and the destruction of our mosques."
He also condemned Wednesday's attack on the Church of Fatima, but said local Muslims were not responsible for the assault.

You’re a veteran in the industry, when did you start acting?
First of all, my name is John Okafor, Mr Ibu and I hail from Ezeokwe in Nkanu West Local Government, Enugu State. My first experience on camera was 1978 December 3. It was a soapopera in Benin City. A soap opera they called Hotel de Jordan. I was just a passerby and then they called me to be part of it, part of the crowd. My face wasn’t even showing but I was comfortable, I was contented being part of that big work.
Why did you decide to become an actor?
That is the bone breaker. I had nothing in mind before when all of us were in school, from elementary school to secondary school. Then I didn’t really have something in mind I was going to be but I know I was having medicine in my mind. 23yrs Old Nigerian Sentenced To 27 Years Imprisonment In Cambodia

A 23 year old Precious Chineme Nwoko  has been caught and sentenced to 27 years imprisonment by a Cambodian Court for drug trafficking in Cambodia.

Police sources say Nwoko was a ringleader in a heroin smuggling cartel in Cambodia. He was arrested last month for handing a backpack containing 2.2 kilos (4.8 pounds) of heroin to two women, 41year old Australian Yoshe Ann Taylor and 19 year old French Charlene Savarino, for onward transportation to an unidentified man in Australia. Both women were however caught and arrested.

At their trial last month, it was discovered that 19 year old Savarino was Nwoko's girlfriend and they worked closely in smuggling heroin. 41 year old Taylor had also previously helped to smuggle heroin using the backpack.

The Emir of Gombe, Alhaji (Dr.) Usman Shehu Abubakar, has passed on. He died this evening, May 27th after a long battle with cancer at the Royal Marsden Hospital, Fulham Road, London.
The Secretary to the Gombe State Government, Abubakar Bage confirmed his passing in a press statement released this evening. Family sources say his body will be flown back to Nigeria tomorrow, May 28th to be buried according to Islamic rights.

Islamic Scholar, Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky says the US and Israel arranged the Chibok abduction as a launch pad for an invasion of Nigeria with the aim of stealing her resources.

Zakzaky, said the Boko Haram sect was a myth and the girls' abduction a set-up to pave way for U.S. and Israeli military presence in Nigeria.
“Let no one be fooled, there is nothing like Boko Haram! It is a covert operation to balkanize Nigeria and steals its resources in the name of search of Boko Haram insurgents. If you can fool others, we cannot be fooled,” Zakzaky said.

Air Marshal Alex Badeh, the Chief of Defence Staff, has revealed that they, the security personnel in Nigeria have located where members of Boko Haram are keeping the 200+ school girls abducted on April 14th.

Alex Badeh said the military would not use force to release the girls because of the need to prevent the insurgents from killing them, Punch reports.

The military said they do not intend to go without proper planning, so as not to endanger the lives of the girls.

‘My boyfriend gave me N230,000 for Christmas but I didn’t know he was an robber’

OPERATIVES of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), Lagos State Police Command, have smashed a four-man robbery gang who carried out an operation at the arrival hall of the Murtala Mohammed International Airport (MMIA), Ikeja on October 30, last year.

 In the process, they carted away the sum of $1.5 million kept in a bagging store by Mrs Uche Eziama, owner of Deravine Company.

 According to a police source, the said money was kept in a bag and Mrs. Eziama intended to use it for a business transaction that could not hold, following which she decided to keep it in the bagging store. But to her utter shock, by the time she went there to fetch it, it had vanished. She alerted the police and some suspects were arrested. 

     As the suspects were being screened, one of them, Ifeanyi Francis, confessed to the crime. The police later recovered the sum of $224, 240 and two landed properties Ifeanyi said he acquired with the money. Also recovered from him was a Pathfinder SUV he allegedly purchased with part of the stolen money. 

Breaking News: Another Bomb Blast In Jos, Capital Of Plateau

Another bomb blast this night rocked the city of Jos, capital of Plateau State in Nigeria's Middle Belt. It was the third bomb explosion in the formerly quiescent city in less than a week.
A security agent and two Jos residents told SaharaReporters over the phone that today's blast occurred around 9 p.m. Nigerian time around a center where people had gathered to watch a soccer match.

There was no information regarding casualty figures as at press time. Audu Yohana, the NEMA Zonal Information Officer in Jos said the bomb had exploded on Murtala Mohammed near the main campus of University of Jos .
He said emergency responders were afraid to approach the scene of the latest explosion for fear that another bomb might be planted nearby.

Mohammed, who is an officer of the Nigerian Immigration Services (NIS) attached to the Nangere office of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) in Yobe State, was apprehended at a checkpoint on the Maiduguri-Damaturu road while on his way to kill a former special adviser to the immediate past governor of the state.

This man was killed by a mob Monday in Koudougou, a town in central Burkina Faso, after being accused of making another man’s penis “disappear”. It was not an isolated incident: there has been an increase in the number of these strange accusations being made in recent weeks. This lynching took place in the 10th district of Koudougou, in the city’s west. It all started with a fight at a restaurant between two men: one accused the other of having cast a spell on him simply by touching him. The first man, a local mechanic, claimed that his penis had been "stolen” by the second man, who was not from the district. The first man called the police. But by then, a crowd had gathered around them. Incensed, the residents decided to lynch the man in the middle of the street.

Shocking: A Black Bird Allegedly Turned Into An Old Woman In Ajegunle

This elderly woman pictured above escaped lynching on Wednesday after being accused of being a bird and witch in the Ajegunle area of Lagos State.
According to residents of Ojo Road, where the purported transformation took place, the woman was a black bird before suddenly turning into a human being. Hundreds of residents were said to have gathered around the woman to lynch her.

The US has sent 80 military personnel to Chad to help find more than 200 girls kidnapped in neighbouring Nigeria, President Barack Obama has said.
In a letter to House Speaker John Boehner and to Senate politicians, the president confirmed the deployment to help trace the students abducted last month by Islamist militants Boko Haram.
"These personnel will support the operation of intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance aircraft for missions over northern Nigeria and the surrounding area," Mr Obama wrote in the letter.
"The force will remain in Chad until its support in resolving the kidnapping situation is no longer required."
Mr Obama has faced criticism on Capitol Hill for not doing enough to find the missing girls.
The team, who will be made up mostly of Air Force personnel, is due to arrive on Wednesday and may already be there, according to Pentagon spokesman Lt Col Myles Caggins.

US Actor Michael Jace Arrested and Charged With Wife's Murder

American actor Michael Jace has been arrested and charged with the alleged fatal shooting of his wife of nine years. The 51-year-old star is best known for playing a closeted gay police officer in the FX drama The Shield.  According to NBC, Jace called 911 late on Monday night and allegedly confessed to shooting his wife April dead.

When police officers arrived at their home at Brynhurst Avenue in Hyde Park, they discovered 40-year-old April with multiple gunshot wounds. She was later declared dead at the scene by paramedics.
The couple's two children are believed to have been at home at the time of the incident. TMZ reports that the boys, both under the age of 10, witnessed Jace allegely shoot and kill their mother.
Jace was taken into police custody and is being held on suspicion of murder.

Don't Blame Any One If Boko Haram Kills You In Chibok; Military Warns Journalists

The Nigerian Military on sunday warned Journalists and visitors to desist from entering Chibok, where 234 girls were kidnapped as well as security conscious areas, as “any unsavoury outcome of such movement” will not be blamed on the military. This was contained in a statement issued yesterday by the Defence spokesman, Major General Chris Olukolade. According to him “The Defence Headquarters has noted the presence of a large number of tourists, journalists and adventurers of diverse interests moving about in areas where security operations are currently ongoing especially in Adamawa and Borno States without the necessary security cover or clearance. This trend constitutes unnecessary risk to the persons especially the foreigners involved. It is also an undue obstruction to operations,” He stated that though the military has nothing to hide in their operations, people visiting the area should know that there are operational areas, while promising to protect people whose movement is “duly vetted and in line with development in the security situation on ground in particular mission area”.

Bomb Explosions Claims Several Lives In Popular Jos Market

Tragedy today hit the violence-prone Jos, the Plateau State capital, as afternoon explosions in the Terminus Market are reported to have killed scores of traders and customers in the busy commercial area.
It was gathered that while the first bomb blast went off in a Siena space bus marked Plateau XB 146 BLD at the Jos Terminus Market, behind the popular Ahmadu Bello Way, at about 2.30pm.
The second explosion occurred about thirty minutes later and was said to have killed more people than the first one as many residents and traders who had fled the scene over the first explosion tried to join rescue agencies to save the injured and retrieve the bodies of the dead.
Men of the fire service, who responded to distress calls to fight the resultant inferno, were said to have stayed far away from the market over fears that more bombs could have been planted in the market while

My Visit To Chibok Will Not Bring Back Our Girls - Goodluck Jonathan

President Goodluck Jonathan has councel his trip to chibok where over 200 female students where adopted by the islamic group 'Boko Haram'. at the moment, he insist that the visit will not “#bringbackourgirls”.

Responding to a journalist during the Africa Security Summit in Paris, President Jonathan said “if the president goes to Chibok today, it does not solve any problem; may be psychological problem or for media relevance. But you have not solved the problem” insisting that “the problem facing the president and indeed the Nigerian government is how to get this girls from where they are” he said.

President Jonathan, who noted that “these girls are from a particular school, but there are a lot of misconceptions; these girls have been removed from the school” insisted that “visiting the school per se does not solve the problem”.

“They (girls) are not from one family, they are scattered from a particular local government area, which is made up of so many communities. So there is no one family that you will go and visit” he said.
