Nigeria attack: Students shot dead as they slept
Suspected Islamist gunmen have attacked a college in north-eastern Nigeria, killing up to 50 students.
The students were shot dead as they slept in their dormitory at the College of Agriculture in Yobe state.North-eastern Nigeria is under a state of emergency amid an Islamist insurgency by the Boko Haram group.
Boko Haram is fighting to overthrow Nigeria's government to create an Islamic state, and has launched a number of attacks on schools.
Casualty figures from the latest attack vary, but a local politician told the News men that around 50 students had been killed.
The politician said two vanloads of bodies had been taken to a hospital in Yobe's state capital, Damatur
A witness quoted by Reuters news agency counted 40 bodies at the hospital, mostly those of young men believed to be students.
College provost Molima Idi Mato, speaking to newsmen , also said the number of dead could be as high as 50, adding that security forces were still recovering the bodies and that about 1,000 students had fled the campus.A Nigerian military source told alse told newsmen that soldiers had collected 42 bodies.
The gunmen also set fire to classrooms, a military spokesman in Yobe state, Lazarus Eli, told Agence France-Presse.
The college is in the rural Gujba district.
In May, President Goodluck Jonathan ordered an operation against Boko Haram, and a state of emergency was declared for the north-east on 14 May.
Many of the Islamist militants left their bases in the north-east and violence initially fell, but revenge attacks quickly followed.
In June, Boko Haram carried out two attacks on schools in the region.
At least nine children were killed in a school on the outskirts of Maiduguri, while 13 students and teachers were killed in a school in Damaturu.
In July in the village of Mamudo in Yobe state, Islamist militants attacked a school's dormitories with guns and explosives, killing at least 42 people, mostly students.
Boko Haram regards schools as a symbol of Western culture. The group's name translates as "Western education is forbidden".
Boko Haram is led by Abubakar Shekau. The Nigerian military said in August that it might have killed him in a shoot-out.
However, a video released last week purportedly showed him alive.
Other previous reports of his death later proved to be unfounded.

I don’t pray my child becomes an armed robber -Arrested robbery kingpin
IT was great rejoicing among operatives of the Special Anti- Robbery Squad (SARS), Ibadan under Oyo State Police Command when a notorious armed robber who had been on the run for months, Abiodun Adelabu was arrested at Beyerunka area of the city recently.
Adelabu, popularly called Abbey, was the head of the gang put in place by another robbery baron, known as Biggie or Marshall. Biggie, who receives snatched vehicles from his gang, reportedly owned auto shops in
Ibadan, Abuja and other places before he was dislodged from Ibadan and Abuja when he knew that the police were after him.
While Abbey and his gang members reigned in Ibadan city, they were a big headache to the state police command with the way they were snatching vehicles on a daily basis. One of their victims, a lawmaker with the Oyo State House of Assembly, was shot when he was attacked, to the extent that his entrails came out of his stomach. He was left for the dead and was said to have gone through surgeries to join his intestines together. Till today, the man still bears the scars of the gunshot injury.
Briefing journalists while parading some suspects on Tuesday, September 24, the state’s Police public Relations Officer, Olabisi Okuwobi-Ilobanafor said that the SARS had set a dragnet for Abbey until they got information that he was sighted at Beyerunka area. On sighting the police, Abbey reportedly engaged the police in a shoot-out in order to make a way of escape for himself. However, he was shot on the legs to subdue him and was subsequently arrested.
Among other exploits of the gang was the robbery operation they carried out on December 9, 2012 at Ring Road area where they dispossessed one of the editors of Macmillan Publishers of her Toyota Avensis car.
One of the gang members, Victor Okafor, who specialized in removing trackers from vehicles, and who had already lodged in a hotel in Ibadan, awaiting a vehicle to be snatched, quickly removed the car tracker and was heading for Abuja when he was halted at Ikire by policemen from Osun State Police Command. The car was recovered from him.
Okafor’s arrest led to the apprehension of two other suspects namely Biola Ayoola and Alhaji Ibrahim Animashaun, whose house Ayoola described as the take-off point whenever they were going for robbery operation. Since then, Abbey decided to leave Ibadan to lie low for a while before he resurfaced and bought a black Volkswagen car with registration number KRD 803 BR.
On the day he was arrested at Beyerunka area of Ibadan, Crime Reports learnt that it was a real war between him and the SARS operatives who were after him, as he also injured one of them by stabbing him with a broken mirror.
In an interview, 27-year-old Abbey who said he is from Elekuro in Ibadan, Oyo State and married with one child narrated his foray into the crime world thus: “I learnt how to trade in clothes like jeans and tops but I did not establish my own shop. I was introduced to armed robbery three years ago by Alhaji Ibrahim Animashaun. Before then, I used to pick pockets in Lagos State and whenever I had phones, I usually sold them to Animashaun. I knew he used to sell phone accessories at Beere area of Ibadan.
“He introduced one man called Biggie to me. Biggie is based in Abuja and would ask us to snatch neat vehicles for him. After delivery, he would send money to us through Animashaun.
Modus Operandi
“We sometimes attack car owners when they park their vehicles or we use our motorcycles to hit them from the back so as to force them to a stop. Once they get down, we will attack. We operate at any time of the day. We use guns during the attack. When we attacked a lawmaker who was buying fuel into his Honda CRV at Ashi and collected the vehicle from him, we did not shoot him.
“We attacked the second lawmaker at Olodo area by hitting his Toyota Avensis car from the back with our okada. He stopped and we attacked him. We put him in the vehicle with us and while he was struggling with us, one of us, Suraju shot him. We then dumped him beside a bush along Egbeda area.
“One of our gang members, Biola, used to ride okada during our operation. On December 9, we snatched a black Toyota Avensis from a woman at Adeoyo, Ring Road area. We took the vehicle to Victor who was the person recruited by Biggie to be removing vehicle trackers from snatched vehicles. I have always known Victor with Biggie. Biggie introduced him as one of his boys.
“The day Biola was arrested at Alekuso area, when coming from Alhaji Animashaun’s party, I was at Beere area watching him and the police. It was that very day that I left Ibadan for Lagos. Biggie called me while I was hiding that we should start operating again since he would need money to spend on the release of those who had been charged to court and remanded in prison. I was angry that he wanted to put me in further trouble so I broke my sim card and lost contact with him.
“Biola, Yusuf, Suraju, Dayo and I were gang members, and we used to report to Animashaun. We have never killed anyone. We even quarrelled with Suraju who shot the lawmaker though we did not know that he was a lawmaker then.”
He admitted that his activities were nothing to be proud of. “I cannot wish my son to be an armed robber. It’s a shameful thing,” he said.
The PPRO however said that the suspect’s case was still under investigation and would be charged to court after the completion.

Popular Ghanian Pastor Claims T.B Joshua & Chris Oyakhilome are Cultists (Must Read)
In the words of the controversial Owusu Bempah, the founding President of Believers’ LoveWorld Incorporated, also known as “Christ Embassy”, Dr Christian Oyakhilome (popularly known as “Pastor Chris”) and General Overseer of The Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), Prophet Temitope Balogun (aka TB) Joshua, are not “true men of God”, but leaders of occults, winning souls for the devil.
This claim, according to Owusu-Bempah, is based on God’s revelation to him in a vision as well as his own analysis of the scripture, works and conduct of the two popular heads of two religious organisations in Africa.
Owusu-Bempah said he once heard Pastor Chris saying he saw nothing wrong with homosexuality and lesbianism, and wondered which true man of God would lead his flock with such beliefs.
“No doubt he [Pastor Chris] is a friend and partner of TB Joshua”, Owusu-Bempa noted last week, claiming both men are dubious men of God who have a pact with the devil.
For Owusu Bempah, Nigerians have allegedly realized the dubious character of the Nigerian televangelist faith healer and founding president of Christ Embassy and his partnership with TB Joshua and have consequently chased him out of the country to South Africa, where he presently resides.
On TB Joshua, Owusu-Bempa claimed he once saw him with his feet on the floor preaching, an incident he said revealed to him that TB Joshua was not from God.
“When you see anyone claiming to worship God who worships with his feet on the ground, he’s an occultist. And TB Joshua is an occultist.
“Ask yourself how TB Joshua, who claims God called him, worships with his feet on the ground? Let me tell you if you go to any church and you see the leader worshiping with his feet on the ground, it’s a sign of demonism; it’s occultic. People like that follow spirits that are not of God. It is occultic.”
According to him, God later revealed that TB Joshua was an occultist who did not draw his spiritual powers from God.
“Some time ago, I used to like TB Joshua. I was watching him on television, and the Lord opened my eyes. I saw him with horns on his head, and he had the face of a wolf. His tongue was that of a snake and he had blood smeared all over his mouth.”
“Immediately, I rushed into my bedroom, and the Lord told me that he wasn’t from Him, but was working under the authority of bad spirits,” the pastor added. “That was when I realized TB Joshua was demonic and not of God.”
The man who has himself been labeled a false prophet by some of his critics, advised Ghanaians not to be misled by signs of wonders and so-called men of God whose powers do not come from God.
He also accused TB Joshua in particular of sometimes faking miracles to win the confidence of his flock. “He can perform a clean miracle today and contaminate it with a lot of fake ones”.
Joshua claimed his “own junior pastor went to his church to be healed. He was forced to sit in a wheel chair and made to claim before the cameras that he had received his healing even though he hadn’t. He returned to the country and within two weeks, he passed away”, Owusu-Bempah stated.
He again cautioned Ghanaians not to be in a hurry to attend the services of Prophet TB Joshua since he is the “anti-christ.”
“If you are a pastor who worked under him and he gets to know you want to reveal his secrets, he kills you directly,” Owusu-Bempah alleged.
“If no one is willing to say this, I will say it: TB Joshua is the anti-christ and an agent of the devil… I know of a pastor who attended his church, and when he should tell you about what he saw, your mouth would drop,” he stated.

Nigerian Charged For Aiding Al Qaeda's Yemen Affiliate
A Nigerian man was arraigned Friday on charges of providing material support to al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, the terrorist organization’s Yemen-based affiliate, and criminal use of firearms.
According to a five-page indictment, Lawal Olaniyi Babafemi, 33, traveled twice from Nigeria to Yemen in 2010 and 2011 to meet and train with leaders of al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP).
Among other things, Babafemi assisted in AQAP’s English-language media operations, which include the publication of the propaganda magazine “Inspire,” the indictment said. He also was given the equivalent of nearly $9,000 in cash by Anwar al-Awlaki to recruit other English speakers from Nigeria to join that group and also received weapons training, the FBI said. Al-Awalki is the American cleric turned AQAP commander killed in a U.S. drone strike in 2011.
Babafemi, who also was known by the nom de guerre “Ayatollah Mustapha,” according to the charging papers, was indicted by a grand jury in the Eastern District of New York on Feb. 21, and subsequently arrested and extradited from Nigeria.
Babafemi was due to be appear in federal court in Brooklyn for his arraignment.

Governor Fashola apologizes to the Igbos over destitude deportation
Lagos State Governor Babatunde Fashola yesterday Thursday Sept. 26th apologized to the Igbos over the deportation of destitute from the state to Anambra State a few months back.
Governor Fashola tendered his apology at a ceremony to mark the Silver Jubilee anniversary of Aka Ikenga, an Igbo social-cultural group in Lagos. He said:
“The truth is that I do not have a problem with the Igbos, they know that because the largest herd of cattle I received during my father’s burial came from the Ndigbo. Those people who came under their many colours are not people I have a problem with, they are my kindred and my people. Also, there were people who did not clearly understand me and they have misunderstood words said or misrepresented actions taken in the way that it has pleased them to do so. To those people, I owe an explanation, not a defence of what has happened and that is partly why I am here.
“We have built a relationship based on tolerance, mutual respect, trust and love. That relationship was started by our ancestors, it was handed over to us and we have nourished it with a lot of trust, with a lot of understanding and with a lot of fidelity.
“Those who misunderstand that relationship, think that there is no value in that relationship, I have come here to correct that because I place a lot of value on that relationship. If those people have misunderstood me or they have misunderstood actions taken by our government, here, now and today, I offer an unqualified and unreserved apology."
“Why should people feel compelled to migrate from one place to the other? Is there one part of this country that is less endowed whether in human or natural resource? Is that the problem? Is it the case that perhaps some parts are so endowed or not adequately managed?"
“Those are the honest debates that we must have. The political storm is gathering and allusions have been made to the issues I address, not only by the chairman, but by the President of Ohaneze Ndigbo. How can development be so difficult in the part of Nigeria that gave us Ike Nwachukwu, Chinua Achebe, Nnamdi Azikiwe, Odumegwu Ojukwu, Alex Ekwueme and so on, how can development be so difficult in that part of this country? I think those are the real issues.”
“I think we have been in the news of our relationship for the wrong reasons in the last few weeks, but if you listen to the voices of those who speak the loudest, you would see that they do not speak about us, they do not speak about the problems, but about themselves. The majority of us are concerned about how to make it better, that is what concerns us always in Lagos, and it is not an easy decision for me.”
"The pursuit of making it better makes us adopt policies which are always subject to the human text of fallibility”.

Florida Mom Gives Birth To Baby on The Highway
Latoya Desamour, of Brandon, Fla., has given birth to four children. Three of them in the hospital and her fourth child, she can now say, on a highway.
"This is the last one," Desamour, 34, said. "I've always had quick deliveries but not as quick as this. This is out of the ordinary."
Out of the ordinary is an understatement for Desamour, an elementary school teacher, who delivered a healthy, 6 lb, 3 oz., baby girl, Arabella Grace Desamour, while her husband drove her to the doctor's office Tuesday morning.
"I felt contractions but I had a meeting scheduled so I didn't want to leave school," Desamour said. "As the morning progressed I felt like I should probably go home so I left work around 9:45 a.m. and when I got home I felt another contraction and so I said, 'Let's just go straight to the doctor's office.'"
That plan was diverted when Desamour had a contraction so strong she told her husband, Wiclef, 35, to drive her straight to the hospital instead. About 15 minutes away from the hospital, their plan was diverted again.
"I had the urge to push and I pushed and I told my husband to call 911," said Desamour, whose due date was Sept. 29. "I said, 'Pull over. She's here. She's here.'"
Wiclef pulled the car over on the side of Interstate 4, the major highway that runs through Florida, and flagged down a Florida Highway Patrol trooper who was writing an incident report for a nearby accident.
"He [the officer] looked at my husband like what are you talking about as my husband said, 'My baby. She's here. She's here,'" Desamour said. "He [Wiclef] was a little loopy for a while. He kept running around saying, 'She's here. She's here.'"
Wiclef was so stunned by his daughter's unplanned arrival that the words, "She's here. She's here," were all he could mutter to the 911 dispatcher before accidentally hanging up.
"The 911 dispatcher had to call back because they didn't understand what he meant," Desamour said.
Once the Highway Patrol officer on the scene figured out what Wiclef was saying, he came over to the couple's car, put his gloves on, lifted Arabella from the car's floor to her mom's lap and covered her with a blanket while they all waited for paramedics to arrive.
Fifteen or so minutes later, the Desamours and their newborn arrived at St. Joseph's Hospital, where Arabella was supposed to be born, and were greeted by even more confusion.
"When I got there they thought I was coming from an emergency," Desamour said. "They didn't see that I had already had the baby."
Desamour and Arabella were both discharged from the hospital today.
"This is definitely better terms," said Desamour, whose other children are ages 7, 5 and 20 months. "I feel a lot calmer. I've been through this part before, taking a baby home. And she's strapped in a car seat and I have my seat belt on for this trip."

“In the early hours of Thursday, 26 September 2013, unknown gunmen suspected to be Boko Haram terrorists attacked Dorawa village in Nangere local government area of Yobe state.
During the attack, a pastor and his 2 children were killed”
Witnesses say the insurgents who were eight in number stormed the village around 1:00am in the morning, on two motorcycles, and killing three residents before setting ablaze a local church and five other houses in the village.
The statement further revealed that so far, no arrest has been made but efforts are being intensified to arrest the perpetrators of the heinous act.
Captain Lazarus however enjoined law abiding citizens not to relent in providing credible and timely information that could help security agencies to overcome terrorism in the state and the country as a whole.
This latest attack is coming seven days after suspected Boko Haram sect attacked Buni-Yadi, the headquarters of Gujba local government area killing three people and burning several properties in the area.
Soft Sell Weekly Magazine To Pay Gov Adams Oshiomhole N25m Over A False Story.
Governor Oshiomhole had dragged the soft sell weekly magazine to court demanding N250million as damages over their report with the following headline:
‘Oshiomhole’s sex power exposed: Impregnates young girl six months after death of wife.”
The magazine had written that Governor Oshiomhole impregnated a student of the state-owned
Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, bought the said girl a jeep and interfered in the academic activities of Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, on behalf of the girl.
That Gov Oshiomole used sexual performance enhancement drugs and that he had performed traditional marriage rites precedent to marriage between him and the said girl.
The governor told the court that he demanded damages because the said publication caused him and his children psychological trauma, six months after the death of his wife, as the libellous piece was widely circulated, to coincide with preparations for one of his daughter’s wedding.
He said:
“When I called a brother governor to sponsor my daughter’s wedding, the governor said he was confused, and asked me if I was the one doing the marriage or my daughter. He added that he was reading a magazine which said that I was about getting married to a university student, and that the said wife-to-be was already pregnant.”
In his judgment, the trial Judge, Justice Efe Ikponmwen, also ordered the magazine to publish a well-worded retraction and apology in a similarly conspicous manner in an edition of the magazine.
He held that the governor’s evidence proved that the magazine’s publication was libelous, and that even though the public has a right to know about a public officer, such information should be in line with the law and must not be in bad light.

Late Prophet Ajanaku Was A Chronic Liar, Not A Man of God, Sleeps With His Female Members - Close Member Reveal
Another shocking revelation has surfaced on the late Prophet Ireti Ajanaku. One of his close aides who worked for him for five years, Emmanuel Olasemeji who is a furniture maker, chatted with Encomium Weekly on Wednesday, September 18, 2013, about the real Prophet Ajanaku he knew and worked with.
- How did you become one of late Prophet Ajanaku’s aides?
I was wowed. And that was when he was about completing his multi-million naira mansion. And most of the church members volunteered to assist the builders. He asked me to work for God in his house and do the furniture.
I can’t lie to you, when Prophet Ajanaku spoke you would think it was God. His church members saw him as god. He often told us that he wines and dines with God and that if he wants anybody to die tomorrow, it would happen. We all respected and feared him. You dare not say no to his request.
He said he had the power to save someone from ultimate death. My decision to open up was not to malign his character but be factual. Even before his death, I confessed this feat openly to him. I can’t doubt his power but not as a Christian.
For instance, someone came to see him. He said some people predicted he was going to die at a certain date. Thus, he was warned not to go out. Prophet Ajanaku closed his eyes for a minute and the next moment said the man should go out that day that nothing would happen to him. And nothing happened to him indeed.
I can say that though he was very powerful but his lifestyle and character were questionable.
- How many months did you work in his house?
- How would you describe him?
Thus, once you incur his wrath, the whole church would stop greeting you. Before they travelled to South Africa, there was an issue on ground. He was renovating the church. He engaged the services of one of his church members who sold woods and planks to supply the church.
I supervised the project and it was N750,000. He was to pay after the project. After the project, he refused to pay. And the member knew it wrecked his small business. It became an issue and it was his personal aide, Mr. Adefeso who waded in and said prophet would pay. That was when they travelled to South Africa. When they got back, we discovered they had an issue.
The aide claimed he discovered some of his secrets while on the trip but till date refused to disclose them. However, when prophet came back, he quickly started telling us the man was evil, that we should excommunicate him. I know him well, once he knew you had discovered some of his negative acts, he would blackmail you with lies. That was the same thing he did for Tope Alabi.
- What are the things you discovered about him?
He would fabricate lies against such person. And the medium he used most was a soft-sell magazine. Second, I can tell you authoritatively that he sleeps with his female aides who stay in his house. He has agents who recruit ladies in the church who are not employed.
They used their situation to entice them to work and live with the prophet. And some only live with him for like three months before he would fabricate lies against them and send them parking. But none of them could disclose their ordeal because he was a god.
- But what about his wife?
We only discovered the truth when one of the ladies who was also the wife’s aide known as Becky confessed to a pastor at Abuja that he was sleeping with her. She was dating a friend of mine who was also staying in his house. The house is so big and many of us lived with him. My friend and Becky travelled to Abuja and he introduced her to a pastor in Abuja. That one now said Becky has a secret and unless she revealed it, it would affect their relationship. It took her four days to open up that she has been sleeping with late Ajanaku. She was scared she would die after the confession but with prayer in Abuja, nothing happened to her. Although we were suspicious but she gave us instances which we were aware of and revealed how other girls too were his sex slaves.
Also, most of his members go to the church with their wealth but left poor. He was very rich. He swindled them of their wealth and virtues.
Though we have never seen him with charm before but he often told us he knows about all incantations because he had been into all sorts of occultism before he started his ministry.
He said they are all powerless compared to God’s power. He is a pretender. Once he was about to discard his enemies, he would say negative things about them and since we were not privileged to see or hear from God, we believed him. That’s what he used on those girls too. He bleached and encouraged the girls too to use the cream. I had to leave in 2011. I spent five years with him.
- Is it true that he once had a wife?
- What’s the woman’s name?
He had four rooms in that house which are exclusively his own. He had a particular room that if he was there for three months you won’t know.
On Friday, September 20, 2013, National Encomium contacted the ministry’s spokesperson, Tosin, over some of these allegations but he declined to make any comment. “Please, I have nothing to say.”

The Monopolizing Of Federal/State And Traditional Appointments -Nigerian Politician Cry Out
The issue of monopolizing of federal, state and even in some cases traditional appointments by our nations political class.
Some Nigerians might feel that this issue does not affect them or like some people say ' change the price of garri in the market'. I believe this is an issue of utmost importance that every ambitious Nigerian should consider as we all wish to better our lives and one day you could be opportune to be shortlisted to serve the nation only for the spot duly and rightly deserved by you to be given to a well known politician and in Nigeria today, already exhausted minds of elderly politician, former government appointees etc who feel they still need to be relevant in the society or feel they are not done 'contributing' their quota to the nation. what they could not do in their youthful and vibrant days.
Strategic positions where new ideas and minds should come into play are being rotated amongst a fraction of our populace, imagine a former Governor going to serve in the Senate and still holding appointments even after leaving the Senate as if the country was made for only a few to prosper in. These people are meant to know that Nigeria is for Nigerians and not a few of them.
Some countries employ their average citizens to be legal system as members of a jury whereas in our beloved Nigeria, when a committee to improve the policy or 'investigate' another committee is set up it can only include former ministers, and other former public office holders. Who would continue to collect and sit upon opportunities that should be available to all Nigerians.
Giving the average Nigerian a chance in such appointment also means well as it would help with the redistribution of wealth. Imagine a former Governor who serves for two terms and goes to the Senate to serve another two terms after which is appointed as a Executive Director for a Federal agency. Instead of he/she to retire after serving as a governor and allow three other of his fellow Nigerians of which two could serve as single term Senators and the other as the Executive Director of the concerned agency to implement new and fresh ideas that would benefit the nation and even the greedy politicians children.
One area I really do not agree with the government and I believe in this modern democratic Nigeria I have the right to say is the appointment of Ambassadors / Head of Missions. It has gotten to the very degrading level where politicians and even wives of politicians and former leaders are being 'compensated' with such a critical and delicate role while the career civil servants who after years of toiling for this great nation would be delayed and denied their birth right and are retired due to mandatory years in service or coming of age.
Political Ambassadors in my opinion cannot put in the same work ethic as a career Ambassador who has probably for the last twenty years of his life, sleeping, eating and breathing the job. It is a pity when politicians see these foreign missions as means to embezzle money disregarding the welfare of Nigerians in these foreign land. Imagine a Local Government Chairman or House of Reps member who just finished his/her tenure and could not adequately represent somewhere as small as a local government being sent out by the Federal Government to represent the nation. I think that is absurd, idiotic and stupid thing to do. No wonder Nigerian embassies abroad are in shambles and are barely running.
I do not know the criteria for selecting Ambassadors and other political appointments but I believe as humans with common sense we should not be sending a banker on a diplomatic mission or appointing an accountant as the Minister of Defence. When one Nigerian can collect retirement benefits of being a Governor, Senator and Ambassador when two other Nigerians can be appointed and in turn help their families and reach more lives.
I call on anybody who has means of communicating with any one who can make my feelings known to any one in any office who can do something about it because this country is for all Nigerians and if the masses are happy every one and every thing in our country would prosper.
But of course in a country where politics is the full time occupation of some people. In developed nations whom we should be emulating, legislators and some other positions are part time jobs and even in some cases voluntary. Imagine a Nigeria, where any one can schedule and get an appointment and be part of the House sitting, contributing and giving ideas on how to better their local government, state and nation at large.
A Nigeria where politics is not do or die because apart from politics everyone has their source of income, no killings during electoral periods, no rigging, this would automatically mean that anyone going to work in these sensitive offices is actually going to work and serve his fatherland.

Nigerian Islamists kill at least 159 in two attacks
In the first attack, on Tuesday, Boko Haram guerrillas wearing army uniforms stopped traffic on a highway between the cities of Maiduguri and Damaturu, dragging people out of their vehicles and killing them, with 143 bodies recovered so far.
Violence in northeast Nigeria has intensified over the past two months, as the Islamists fight back against a military operation that President Goodluck Jonathan ordered in May to try to crush their four-year-old rebellion.
Tuesday's toll was initially given as "more than 20", but information often takes days to trickle out of the remote and sparsely populated region, where roads are bad, curfews are in force and the military has cut the phone network since May.
"We have been picking corpses off the roadsides all day, there are more in the bush," said Abdulazeez Kolomi, an Environmental Protection Agency official in Benisheik village.
"They are all travelers slaughtered by Boko Haram gunmen. We have so far picked up 143 corpses."
On Thursday, following a similar pattern, Boko Haram insurgents killed at least 16 people in an attack on travelers plying a highway from Maiduguri to Bamboa, a police source collecting bodies on the scene told Reuters.
Thousands have been killed since the shadowy sect launched its uprising against the state in 2009, turning itself from a clerical movement opposed to Western culture into an armed militia with growing links to al Qaeda's West African wing.
SURGING VIOLENCE
The military operation that started in May brought an initial lull to the violence, as the Islamists fled their bases in cities, forests and mountains across the northeast.
But the lull quickly gave way to revenge. First schools were targeted, as the Islamists thought they were hiding vigilantes. Then attacks on security forces resumed.
The orgy of violence over the past few weeks - several hundred people have been killed - suggests the offensive against Boko Haram has not worked and may have made things worse.
"They have taken to guerrilla tactics in rural areas, where the population are vulnerable," said Kole Shettima, Africa director of the MacArthur Foundation, based in Nigeria.
"The military were winning some battles, but military deployments cannot win the war. Boko Haram can simply adapt," he said, adding that a broader strategy including investment in the underdeveloped north and some kind of political solution was needed.
Boko Haram, whose name means "Western education is sinful" in the northern Hausa language, wants to revive the medieval Islamic kingdoms that used to rule northern Nigeria, before its amalgamation with the largely Christian south by the British colonial authorities.
They are seen as the gravest security threat to Africa's top oil producer. Although their activities are located hundreds of miles away from its southern oil fields, they have bombed the capital Abuja at least three times, including a deadly attack on the United Nations' Nigeria headquarters in 2011.
Nigeria's military said on Wednesday it had killed 150 insurgents, including a commander, in an operation against Islamist group Boko Haram in which 16 of its own forces were also killed.
The Nigerian army often says it killed large numbers of insurgents in battles in which a much smaller number of its own troops died. It is impossible to independently verify this.
Violence in the northeast is unwelcome news for Jonathan, who is suffering a split in his party over an assumed intention to run again in 2015 elections, and from an opposition coalition that seems better organized and funded than in the past.
He had been criticized for not quelling Boko Haram's insurgency, which worsened under his leadership. The state of emergency he declared in May was seen as a last ditch attempt to show he is on top of the crisis.

day 3:Kenya mall attack,Army seeks 'speedy conclusion
Gunshots also were heard outside the Westgate Shopping Mall about 1:20 p.m. Nairobi time, but it was not clear whether the siege, in its third day, was nearing an end.
Kenyan authorities claimed earlier Monday that they had made progress against terrorists inside the mall, where at least 69 people have died.
Terrorists from the Somalia-based Al-Shabaab group were believed to have about 10 remaining hostages on one level of the mall, security officials said. Other mall levels had been cleared Monday.
"All efforts are underway to bring this matter to a speedy conclusion," the Kenyan military said on Twitter about 11:30 p.m. Sunday, Nairobi time (4:30 p.m. ET). Another tweet said that "most of the hostages have been rescued and security forces have taken control of most parts of the building."
An unspecified number of hostages then were freed overnight, the head of the Kenyan police force said.
Inspector General David Kimaiyo tweeted at noon Monday local time: "We have managed to rescue more hostages overnight and very few are remaining. We are also closing in on the attackers."
Outside the security perimeter around the mall, volunteers waited Monday for their chance to go inside and recover bodies.
At a community center nearby, a distraught woman continued to seek information about her missing husband, a mall employee.
Sporadic gunfire continued into Monday morning, but it could not be determined if security forces or militants were firing at each other.
Israeli special forces were at the scenea source said,
The attack began at midday Saturday, Nairobi time, with an estimated 10 to 15 gunmen. Two attackers were killed Saturday.
According to witnesses, the gunmen went from store to store shooting people and then took hostages.
Al-Shabaab has claimed that the attackers targeted non-Muslims and vowed they would not negotiate for the hostages' lives.CNN gathered that the terrorists apparently took hostages only to prolong the siege and win more media attention.
As Kenyan police and military tried to end the standoff in its third day, authorities elsewhere were collecting names and details and planning to track down those in Al-Shabaab behind the attack.
Most of the dead were said to be Kenyans.
Four British citizens, two French nationals and two Canadians, including a diplomat, also perished, their governments said.
And a major African poet, author and Ghanian statesman, Kofi Awoonor, also died, Ghana's president said.
President John Mahama called the killing of Awoonor "such a sad twist of fate."
And the tragedy is personal for Kenya's president, Uhuru Kenyatta. He said one of his nephews and his nephew's fiancee were among the dead.
Kenyatta said more than 175 people were wounded. Five of those were Americans, the State Department said Sunday.
Elaine Dang, 26, a University of California, Berkeley, graduate from San Diego underwent surgery to her chest, arms and legs but told news men, "I'm OK, I'm very grateful to be alive."
She said two of her local friends died in the attack.
Dang, who has worked for humanitarian organizations, now is the general manager for Eat Out Kenya.
She said she hoped Americans would not form negative opinions about Kenya.
"I'm very prideful for the country, and I love Kenyans," she said.
Three injured security forces also were seen taken out of the mall, but the severity of their injuries was unclear.
Before its Twitter account was suspended, Al-Shabaab issued a list of nine names it said were among the attackers. It said three were from the United States, two from Somalia and one each from Canada, Finland, Kenya and the United Kingdom.
A senior State Department official said that the United States was trying to determine whether any of the alleged attackers are American. But, the official said, authorities are becoming more confident that American citizens were involved.
State House spokesman Manoah Esipisu said there were reports of a white woman among the hostage takers.
Esipisu was asked if the reported woman was thought to be the infamous Al-Shabaab-affiliated "White Widow," Samantha Lewthwaite.
"Nothing is being ruled out," he said.
But CNN terrorism analyst Peter Bergen said it was unlikely.
"It would be very unusual for a woman to be involved in one of these operations," he said. "Typically these groups are misogynist. Their view is the woman should be in a home and shrouded in a body veil."
Lewthwaite's husband, Germaine Lindsey, was one of the suicide bombers killed in the 2005 attack on London's transportation system. His Buckinghamshire-born widow is wanted by Kenyan authorities for her alleged role as an Al-Shabaab and al Qaeda-linked financier.
Kenyatta vowed Sunday to punish those responsible for the attacks.
"They shall not get away with their despicable, beastly acts. Like the cowardly perpetrators now cornered in the building, we will punish the masterminds swiftly and indeed very painfully," he said.
Secretary of State John Kerry promised an American investigation.
"Obviously, it's an enormous offense against everybody's sense of right and wrong," Kerry said. "It represents the seriousness and the breadth of the challenge we face with ruthless and completely reckless terrorists, and we're going to pursue them."
The mall siege was the deadliest terror attack in Kenya since al Qaeda blew up the U.S. Embassy there in 1998, killing 213 people.
Al-Shabaab is al Qaeda's proxy in Somalia.
Since Kenya launched attacks against Al-Shabaab in Somalia in 2011, the group has hurled grenades at Kenyan churches, bus stops and other public places.
Last year, the Kenyan military was part of a peacekeeping force that defeated Al-Shabaab forces to liberate the key Somali port of Kismayo.
